Outreach Events 25-26 Season
Sharing FIRST in the community
Danforth Plant Science Center
Representing FIRST in Missouri, we engaged with over 100 kids and 100 adults, using an FLL set and our FTC robot to introduce both kids and parents to the world of FIRST. Through hands-on activities, we showcased the excitement of robotics and STEM.
Victory Raceway
At Victory Raceway, we reached a total of 52 kids, bringing our FTC robot and setting up Space Cat Cruisers, XRPs, and more robots for kids to use. Through these hands-on experiences, we introduced them to robotics and coding, sparking their curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM.
Magic House Camps
We went to a Magic House summer camp for the 3rd time to demonstrate robotics to the kids. At one station, the kids learned about our robot, and another had kids driving our Space Cats and XRPS.
Centene
At Centene, we learned how to present in a corporate environment, and got to talk to all the attendees about FIRST and robotics. This was different from most Outreach events we've conducted, instead of it being targeted to kids, we got to talk to adults working for major companies, giving us useful insight for things we should incorporate now and in the future.
Maryville
We went to Maryville University Summer Camp to demonstrate robotics to over 100 kids. At one station, the kids learned about our robot, another had kids driving Soccer Bots, a new robot we now have for Outreach Events, and lastly a station for paper airplanes launchers. These experiences captured excitement and curiosity for STEM.
