Sharing FIRST in the community
Danforth Plant Science Center
We represented FIRST in Missouri at the Danforth Plant Science Center where we gave live FLL and FTC demonstrations to over 100 kids. We brought our competitive robot for the kids to interact with. We helped spread FLL's mission by showcasing a interactive game board.
FLL Coaching
Our team conisitialtly visits GSEM (Girl Scouts East Missouri) to coach 2 Girl Scout based FLL teams. We coached them in designing, coding, and innovation as well, as a creative robotics project centered around art therapy.
Girl Scouts Badge Workshop
Our team helped Girl Scouts earn their robotics badges for coding, engineering, and prestentian. We coached them through various STEM actives and helped them build their robot while encouraging them to use their imagination and work as a team.
Magic House Camps
We went to a Magic House summer camp to demonstrate robotics to the kids. At one station the kids learned about our robot, another had the kids build a robot with Tetrix Prime, and the final station had them learn about programming through a board game.
